The Krewe of Pyros cannot do this work alone. Every scholarship awarded, every service hour logged, every young person introduced to a STEM career path or a piece of their own cultural history happens because someone decided to show up.
Ways to Support Our Programs
- Contribute to the Scholarship Pipeline Program — help fund the next student's tuition, books, or fees.
- Start a workplace giving campaign — encourage your employer or coworkers to support KOP's education and youth programs together. To add us, reach out to cuba@kreweofpyros.com.
- Sign up for monthly giving — even $5, $10, or $25 a pay period adds up to a real scholarship for a student in need over the course of a year.
- Volunteer your time — join KOP, join a committee, support an event, or lend a professional skill (legal, financial, marketing, event planning) to our work.
- Attend or sponsor an event — from the Mardi Gras Ball to the Fundraiser Brunch to the Fiyah Golf Tournament, your presence and support fund the year ahead.
Our nation's education system still leaves too many students — particularly from income-constrained communities — without equal access to rigorous coursework, experienced teachers, and the guidance that makes college feel possible. Closing that gap, one student and one scholarship at a time, is exactly the work our Scholarship Pipeline Program exists to do.
Social Justice & Action
We believe that celebrating culture and standing up for the community that built it goes hand in hand. Through our Social Justice & Action Committee, KOP engages on issues affecting our members and the broader community — including equitable access to mental health care. Our monthly Mindful Monday and Transformational Tuesday sessions create a recurring, judgment-free space for conversation and support around mental health and wellness.

Our members are as diverse as the state we come from — industry leaders, elected officials, attorneys, physicians, educators, government employees, and entrepreneurs from across Louisiana, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, with members as far afield as Texas, Georgia, and Florida. What unites us isn't geography. It's a shared commitment to keeping Louisiana culture alive and putting it to work for the community around us.
