Joseph C. Walker, affectionately known as “J.C.”, is a proud New Orleans native born and raised in the historic Seventh Ward. Today, he continues to make his mark in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as a respected leader, advisor, entrepreneur, and community advocate.

A highly recognized and sought-after security professional, J.C. serves as a Senior Security Advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the United States Pentagon. Through his work with NSI, Inc., he also provides critical security and advisory support to multiple federal agencies, bringing decades of expertise and leadership to some of the nation's most important missions.

Beyond his government career, J.C. brings a unique blend of talent and charisma as a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA). Audiences may recognize him from appearances in major motion pictures, including Ray, Glory Road, and The Skeleton Key, as well as several national television commercials.

A graduate of Oliver Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, J.C. is currently completing his degree in Government Security at American Military University, further strengthening the expertise that has defined his professional success. Despite maintaining a demanding career and extensive community involvement, he has earned and maintained a 4.0 GPA while gaining acceptance into both the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement and The National Society of Leadership and Success.

J.C. is also a dynamic and inspiring motivational speaker who has impacted the lives of young people across the country. Through his authenticity, compassion, and relatable storytelling, he encourages youth to rise above their circumstances, embrace their potential, and transform challenges into opportunities. One of his greatest passions has been partnering with community leaders in New Orleans to support youth-focused initiatives that have positively influenced countless lives.

For more than four decades, J.C. has shared his love of music as a dedicated DJ. This lifelong passion continues to connect him to the culture and community he cherishes. Whether entertaining a crowd or mentoring young people, he is known for his positive energy, encouraging spirit, and genuine love for people. Above all, he treasures time spent with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Those who know him best often describe him as someone who loves life and is committed to “keeping the party goin’!”

As the Founder and Captain/CEO of the Krewe of Pyros Foundation, Inc., a vibrant and rapidly growing nonprofit Mardi Gras organization, J.C. has helped ignite a cultural movement in the Nation's Capital. Rooted in both the DMV and Louisiana communities, the organization celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2026, marking a decade of service, cultural preservation, community engagement, and meaningful impact.

With a visionary mindset, a servant's heart, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others, J.C. Walker continues to expand his influence in government, business, entertainment, and community service. His journey is far from complete. In fact, he is only beginning to tap into the possibilities of what can be achieved through purpose, leadership, and a passion for serving others.
