Lytaria "Cuba" Walker's story is one of resilience, passion, and unyielding spirit. Her story began in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA. Born at Charity Hospital, she realized at an early age she was destined for greatness. She quickly learned to write in cursive and read at Candyland Kinder College in Marrero, LA, setting the stage for her lifelong love of words. She was even crowned Candyland's reigning queen in 1980, a title that hinted at the leadership roles and life she would one day embrace.

Cuba's academic journey continued at Our Lady of Prompt Succor School in Westwego, LA. She later attended Xavier Preparatory High School but completed her high school education at Immaculata in Marrero, LA, now known as the Academy of Our Lady. Immediately after high school graduation, Cuba continued her education and became a very proud alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans.

Cuba's leadership and communication skills shine in her roles as an Executive Leader, Master Communicator, and Community Servant. Professionally, she is a Senior Communications Advisor in the Department of Defense, where she exemplifies what she calls "Power laced in Poise." She is also a Charter Member, Membership Committee Chair, and Executive Director of the esteemed Krewe of Pyros Foundation, Inc.

In her personal life, Cuba remains deeply involved with her alma mater and embodies the spirit and resilience of New Orleans in all she does, including her passion for reading, shopping, makeup, and traveling. Despite being an introvert at heart, Cuba's extroverted tendencies and sharp wit make her the life of any gathering, with friends often dubbing her a comedian. However, her greatest happiness comes from being a devoted daughter and a loving wife, roles she cherishes deeply. The newest light in her life is little Mr. Ashton Cole, with whom she loves to cuddle whenever her busy schedule allows. Her guilty pleasures—French fries, wedding cake, and limoncello—are indulgences she savors.

Cuba and her husband, JC, currently reside in the Washington, DC area, but she continues to embody the spirit of New Orleans through her dynamic career and unwavering dedication to family and community.
