Banks

Antoine "Ant" Banks is New Orleans made and community driven. A proud graduate of Warren Easton Fundamental Senior High School, he went on to earn a BA in Political Science from Morehouse College and an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute. That foundation, built in the Crescent City and sharpened in Atlanta, Baltimore, and now Richmond, is exactly what he brings to this role.

Before stepping into board leadership, Antoine was an active member of the Membership Committee and worked closely with the Fundraising and Development Committee during a leadership vacancy, where he began a quiet but thorough assessment of KOP's operations. Working alongside our Executive Director, he started crafting plans for operational improvements and sponsorship development, including the creation of KOP's new sponsorship packages for both member and donor cultivation.

Over the past year, Antoine has been one of the primary architects of KOP's organizational rebuild. In partnership with the Captain himself, he has been leading the development of the Foundation's first 10-Year Strategic Plan, a full committee governance structure, and a comprehensive Case for Support for funders and community partners.

Professional Life

Professionally, Ant serves as Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Comcast Corporation, where he leads government and regulatory strategy across the Central and Southern Virginia and Baltimore, Maryland markets. He brings more than 20 years of experience across three municipal governments, corporate affairs, and nonprofit leadership. He is also the founder of NOLA Bred, a desktop publishing, graphic design, and strategic communications firm.

Civic & Board Service

Antoine served for nine years as Program Director of the Beautillion Scholars Program in Greater Baltimore, focused on college readiness, civic engagement, and career development for young men. He served on the Governance Team under Mayor Brandon M. Scott's Transition Team — helping create the City's first City Administrative Officer — and most recently served as Commissioner on the City Charter Review Commission for the City of Richmond.

He currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for CodeVA, a statewide technology and teacher preparedness nonprofit, and is a member of the I-64 Innovation Corridor's Global Internet Hub Steering Committee. His prior board service includes the Greater Baltimore Urban League, the Community College of Baltimore County, the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Harford TV, and Leadership Baltimore. He is a 2020 Graduate of Leadership Baltimore and a 2025 Graduate of Lead Virginia.

Antoine is a proud and active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, the Krewe of Pygmalion, and the Krewe of King Arthur of New Orleans. He relocated from Baltimore to Richmond in 2021 and now calls the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood home — a proud New Orleanian with strong ties to Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Richmond.
